Twitter may be newfangled, but it’s actually kind of old fashioned. It thrives on honesty, moxie and stick-to-it-ness. In that way, it’s not unlike nearly any other good professional social endeavor, except you have to do it in 140 characters or less. Moreover, there are 500 million Tweets crowding the Twitter-sphere every single day. So how do you get noticed and followed, and not languish in obscurity — everyone’s worst Twitter-mare?

Here are 5 tips for optimizing your Twitter Feed to growing a following and develop into an influencer, one Tweet at a time.

• Don’t fake it. The platform of Twitter can help you consolidate your own identity and pinpoint your goals. This works for a professional beautifully. Make sure you invest time in that initial work: it’s well worth it. Then, keep it consistent. The more defined your image and clear your voice and point of view, the more followers you will have. Also, if your presence has a clear reason, that will also engage a far greater following. And the more followers you have, the wider an audience your Tweets will reach — and the greater influence you will likely have in the micro-blogging community.

• Tweet with intention. And keep your focus. You’ll engage a far greater following if your presence has a reason and a scope. You’ll also begin to build a field of expertise, one small microblog at a time. While you don’t want to always be serious, you’re not on Twitter to regurgitate watercooler gossip. If a topic is trending that’s related to your field, Tweet about it. Pose questions. Quote insights. It’s a great way to find your network (and don’t forget relevant hashtags).

• Tweet often, but not too often. Tweeting often is better than tweeting hardly at all, but there’s balance to strike: It’s good to give your posts time to “sink in” on social media. How many times you Tweet on any given day is your choice, but I recommend you Tweet only once every hour for the best results. If you want to Tweet back to back posts, make them from totally different viewpoints to reach different readers. The exception might be if you’re live-tweeting an event. Then, vary the content, keywords and hashtags to attract different followers. And: make sure you’re covering it in a helpful, not subjective way.

• Work in your own personality. An interesting byproduct of our preference for transparency is that we like people who seem real — especially on social media. So give your Tweets a sense of your own personality and humor. Include your own (positive) insights, and add inspired messages. Don’t be afraid to voice your take on a topic. Then, invite others’ opinions — a great way to gain followers.  But be careful: Twitter is like an instant mirror, where what you say reflects right back onto you. Saying “I’m bored” will reflect back on you as “I’m boring,” which in workspeak can have a tremendously harmful impact on your viability as a colleague or a candidate.

• Be consistent. Once you’re up and running, building up followers and following influencers you like, don’t suddenly drop out of sight. You’ll have more followers if they know what to expect from you, and if you’re tweeting regularly, it’s a clear indicator that you are interested in the world and engaged in your field. If you’re stymied, get creative: Break out of your professional mold for a Tweet or two. Find some great visuals, such as a gorgeous scenic or an adorable portrait, a compelling illustration, an insight from your journal. Don’t overdo the baby or throwback Thursday (#tbt) dorm room photos, though. Creativity gives your Tweets a little spice, but oversharing can lose followers.

Twitter works best when its part of a daily — or hourly —  habit, when you work in engaging content, and craft every post with intention and self-awareness. But there’s more to your feed than posts. Keep a clean feed, deleting junk and snark. Make a habit of retweeting (and credit the source). Spend time looking for great, relevant content to retweet, and admirable influencers to follow. Be yourself, but be your best self. And watch your influence grow.

Your Web site can draw customers in or send them running. Find out what mistakes to avoid in your company's Web site design.

In the early to mid 1990s, commercial web sites weren't very common and just about every "live" site was considered acceptable. With tens of millions of sites online now, users will not tolerate unprofessional and disorganized sites that don't provide the information or solutions they are looking for and expect.

Web design mistakes can have a tremendous negative impact on business growth. At best, they upset your prospects. Worse, though, is you lose them forever.

Here are 12 common web design mistakes you must avoid to please your visitors and grow your business:

1. Lack of Focus Too many web sites leave visitors wondering what the site is about. Be sure your home page explicitly conveys what you do and the value you offer, and entices them to explore other pages for additional information.

2. Text-heavy Pages Actually, lots of text is OK, just don't use lengthy paragraphs with no visual breaks. Reading online is much different than print. Use the following to break-up blocks of text: shorter, more focused paragraphs; headlines and subheads; bullets and numbers; a few well-placed photos or graphics; and appropriate white space.

3. Legibility Issues Dark fonts on dark backgrounds, light fonts on light backgrounds, and tiny fonts that strain the eye are obviously poor choices. Use common sense.

4. "Noise" and Clutter Even if you have a great site, if your visitors are forced to wade through long blocks of copy, promotional offers, animation, sales pitches, and worthless dribble, you'll quickly confuse them and drive them away.

5. Blatant Advertising While we all hope to use our web site to move prospects along in the sales process, in-your-face advertising isn't the answer. Information, solutions and value will do the job more effectively. And while pop-up ads are widely used and acceptable, full screen pop-ups that are difficult to close infuriate everyone.

6. Navigation Issues A clearly obvious navigational panel makes sense doesn't it? But common sense isn't always common practice. How easily can a newcomer navigate your site?

7. Inappropriate Graphics and Photos Photos and graphics can visually enhance the appearance of your site as well as support and substantiate your copy. But don't use load-intensive graphics or photos of your corporate office which are relevant to no one.

8. Outdated Information Nothing screams "unprofessional" any louder than outdated information.

9. Too Many Clicks Needed We're all impatient and in a hurry. Our online waiting threshold is much less than off-line. If more than a few clicks are required to get to a page, you'll lose a prospect every time.

10. Lack of Contact Information This also seems obvious, but I have searched numerous web sites for contact phone numbers - and I am amazed how many times I was unable to find one. Just because a web site is online doesn't mean a prospect only wants to contact you online.

11. Form Frustration The large majority of online forms are too lengthy. Get rid of questions/fields that simply are not needed. And don't identify one as mandatory if it really isn't.

12. No Privacy Policy In the age of rampant spam, we all want to be certain we are offering our e-mail address to someone who will protect it carefully. If you ask for an e-mail address on one of your forms, let your prospects know that you will not sell or distribute their address to anyone (if that's true of course).

Your prospects are visiting your web site specifically for the content. But the appearance and usability are also critical factors. If a visit to your web site is a positive experience, you have a much better chance of converting prospects to clients.

This chart contains all the sounds (phonemes) used in the English language. For each sound, it gives:
  • The symbol from the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), as used in phonetic transcriptions in modern dictionaries for English learners — that is, in A. C. Gimson’s phonemic system with a few additional symbols.

The chart represents British and American phonemes with one symbol. One symbol can mean two different phonemes in American and British English. See the footnotes for British-only and American-only symbols.

  • Two English words which use the sound. The underline shows where the sound is heard.
  • The links labeled Amer and Brit play sound recordings (Flash is required) where the words are pronounced in American and British English. The British version is given only where it is very different from the American version.

Facebook’s Internet.org could face regulation in India after a government-appointed committee on net neutrality said that content and application providers cannot be allowed to act as gatekeepers to the Internet.

Internet.org, which offers mobile phone users access to select services including Facebook with no data charges to promote Internet use among the poor, was criticized by civil rights groups for creating a “walled garden” that favored a few websites.

The social networking website in May threw open participation in the program to websites that met its technical specifications for running on basic phones, were data efficient and let users explore the entire Internet. Facebook said that operator Reliance Communications was not being paid for the free data service, as the program planned to support itself by converting free users into customers for paid services to access the broader Internet.

But the commission, appointed by the Department of Telecommunications, in its report released Thursday said content and application providers cannot be permitted to “act as gatekeepers and use network operations to extract value, even if it is for an ostensible public purpose.”

Such collaborations between telecom service and content providers that enable such a gatekeeping role should be “actively discouraged,” it added.

Internet.org did not immediately comment on the committee’s report. In a response to critics in India earlier this year, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said net neutrality should not prevent the underprivileged from accessing the Internet. “It is not an equal Internet if the majority of people can’t participate,” he added.

The government committee was constituted after a furore over the introduction of the so-called zero-rating plans by Internet.org and mobile operator Bharti Airtel, which launched a platform called Airtel Zero so that app developers could offer zero-rating apps to customers after paying the operator a fee.

The opinions of the committee are, however, recommendations and not binding on government policy. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India is also expected to submit its recommendations on net neutrality soon.

Favoring the “core principles” of neutrality, the committee came down against both throttling and paid prioritization of Web traffic. It also opposed regulation of value-added Internet services, referred to as Over The Top services, such as social media apps and messaging services, though it said that local VOIP calls should be regulated in the same manner as services of telecommunications services providers.
The report is a “praiseworthy exercise in balancing the multiple interests involved in the Net neutrality battle,” said Pranesh Prakash, policy director of the Centre for Internet and Society in Bangalore, in an email. “The panel clearly finds that it is in the public interest to have Net neutrality,” he added.

The report further finds that the financial data of the telecom companies does not support their claims that they are bleeding money because Internet companies are offering voice and messaging services, which is their primary argument for why they need to violate net neutrality, Prakash said.

India’s traditional concern about the misuse of Internet applications and services, particularly by terrorists, has also surfaced in the report. The new applications transfer the ability to lawfully intercept traffic on networks from governments to private companies, and the providers of these services use advanced encryption that impede law enforcement agencies in lawful interception and monitoring, the committee said.

Emphasizing that “national security is paramount,” it recommended inter-ministerial consultations to arrive at measures that ensure that the value-added service providers comply with security requirements.

Online attackers are increasingly targeting websites to make a statement, send spam or flood someone else’s network. Protecting your online brand requires vigilance.

When a big website like Lenovo’s gets hacked, it’s news. But most such attacks take place under the radar, at smaller sites lacking the skills or time to protect themselves. Take the legions of Wordpress-based sites, which got a rude awakening last year when many thousands of them were hacked.
Don’t be one of those sites. Even if you don’t use Wordpress, you can learn important lessons from what those poor blighters have been through.

The un-magic bullet: site maintenance

Quickly spinning up a Wordpress site on a hosted server is simpler than ever, but users need to understand that the sites require regular management. Cybercriminals and hackers are continuously looking for sites whose administrators use easy-to-guess passwords, inadvertently misconfigure the site, or fail to apply the latest patch.

Earlier this year, for example, security firm Zscaler found that compromised WordPress Web sites were forwarding visitors’ login credentials to an attacker-controlled site. Last year, in one of the worst cases of serial compromise, a malicious program, known as SoakSoak, infected more than 100,000 Wordpress sites using a vulnerability in a popular plugin. “The beautiful thing about these applications is that they are easy to use and make it easy to get a website up online,” Tony Perez, CEO of Sucuri, says. “But it’s a double-edged sword—we cannot depend on the users to be able to manage the sites securely.”

Security experts don't blame the content management systems, which typically take security seriously. But Wordpress sites account for 24 percent of all Web sites, and Joomla and Drupal account for another 5 percent, according to Web technology firm W3Techs. The software is under intense attacker scrutiny. Attackers have historically tried brute-force password guessing as a first assault on content management systems, followed by quickly attempting to take advantage of any just-published vulnerabilities.
Passwords are an easy problem for users to solve, but keeping up with a steady stream of vulnerabilities and patches requires diligence, says Mark Maunder, CEO of Wordpress security firm Wordfence. These three best practices will help you fend off attackers.

1. Update as soon as possible

Anyone managing their own site should either use a hosting service that manages the core content management system (CMS) updates or create a process to keep up with information on vulnerabilities that could impact their installation.

Be warned, it’s a tough job. Subscribing to any vulnerability feeds for their software and plugins is a necessity to quickly patch vulnerabilities in either the CMS or its plugins. Yet, it’s easy to be inundated, says Sucuri’s Perez.

“It is almost impossible for developers to keep up with vulnerabilities,” he says. “They are trying to run their site, and trying to keep track of all the patches and applying them is difficult.”
Web-security services like Sucuri, Cloudflare and Incapsula can buy administrators more time to patch their sites, by blocking known attacks.

2. Don’t forget your plugins and themes

While keeping the main content management system up-to-date is challenging, patching every plugin can be a more onerous burden, as attackers have increasingly targeted vulnerabilities in plugins and themes to compromise Web sites.

“In general, attackers are trying to own as many WordPress sites as possible using as many zero days or recently-disclosed vulnerabilities, and then using that site for other attacks,” says Wordfence’s Maunder.
A variety of Wordpress plugins provide security. Wordfence, BulletProof Security and iThemes Security perform a variety of security-related tasks, from scanning Web sites for compromises to setting the security controls of a WordPress site to harden the software against the most common attacks.

3. Regularly maintain your Web site

Having a hosted Web site is a responsibility and requires frequent maintenance. Administrators should back up the site, and make sure the backup is copied off the Web server—many inexperienced administrators overlook that step, says Maunder.

If you don’t have time to do this, go with a fully managed site. Wordpress.com has a wide variety of templates and more flexibility than ever before. For other content management systems, such as Joomla and Drupal, a hosted service provider can manage the CMS on that server and help keep your Web site patched.

With a laptop, you can’t simply buy a new keyboard and plug it in. Replacing it is difficult (or expensive), so it’s best to find another fix before you take the big plunge.

If you don’t already have an external keyboard, buy one. It’s not a viable replacement for the built-in keyboard, but it will let you log into Windows with your password. It will also help you use your computer while figuring out the best solution.

First, you need to find out whether this is a hardware problem or a software one. To do that, boot from a live Linux disc or flash drive. (Live Linux allows you to boot into an operating system without installing it onto your hard drive or SSD.) The version of Linux really doesn’t matter; Ubuntu will do fine. The point is that you’ll be running your hardware without running Windows.

Once you’ve booted into Linux, bring up any application into which you can type. A browser will do. Ubuntu comes with LibreOffice Writer; you can write a whole novel with that.
If the keyboard works in Linux, keep reading. Otherwise, skip down to the “You’ve got a hardware problem” section below.

You’ve got a software problem

If you can type outside of Windows, you’ve probably got a corrupted keyboard driver. you’ll need to replace it with the one that came the laptop.

Boot back into Windows, then use the Start menu’s Search field or Windows 8’s Search charm to search for and open device manager.

Once in Device Manager, find and expand the Keyboards section and double-click your internal keyboard. (If you have an external keyboard plugged in, make sure you pick the internal one. If you’re not sure, unplug the external one first)

In the resulting dialog box, click the Driver tab, then click Uninstall. When the uninstall is complete, your keyboard will definitely not work.

But when you reboot, Windows will automatically reinstall the original driver. Hopefully, this will solve your problem.

You’ve got a hardware problem

0702 clean keyboard 300
If only a few keys fail, dirt and dust may be the culprits.  So try cleaning the keyboard. You’ll want a can of compressed air; I’ve seen them for less than three dollars. Shut down the PC. Use the thin straw that came with the can to direct bursts of air under the keys. Concentrate on the keys giving you the most trouble.

If that doesn’t work, you’ll probably have to replace the keyboard. You can pay a professional to do it, or you can follow Ian Paul’s directions to do it yourself.

False teachings are running rampant today within the American church, with its overgrowing influence on the churches in Africa, as well as the world at large, which have created a “whiteout” condition for  millions of believers. Here’s how to detect—and overcome—these destructive doctrines before it’s too late.

How Has This Happened?
Unhealthy and destructive teaching can enter the church in various ways. Sometimes a biblical truth is taught to the exclusion of other biblical truths, producing a dangerous imbalance. At other times a biblical truth is taught in an exaggerated way, often going beyond what Scripture actually says, and in the end this does more harm than good. Many times clear, biblical warnings are ignored or reinterpreted so radically that they lose all impact or effect, leaving people vulnerable and exposed.

Paul warned that the “time will come when [believers] will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Tim. 4:3-4). Today’s church in America, as a whole, is dangerously close to turning aside to such fables. Millions have already succumbed to these false teachings. Before we lose any more souls, it’s crucial that we identify what I believe are the seven greatest lies that have infiltrated the church and have led to a whiteout of error.

1) Overemphasis of Prosperity
Undoubtedly, some adherents of the carnal prosperity message are motivated by greed. For them, preaching Jesus is a means of financial gain, something Paul rebuked in the strongest possible terms, speaking of men “of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain” (1 Tim. 6:5).
Yet many sincere believers embrace this message too—and back their case with Scripture. They point to the covenant blessings the Lord promised to Israel for their obedience, including financial prosperity (Deut. 28:1-13). They highlight verses in Proverbs and Psalms that link financial prosperity to generosity, hard work, godly living and faith (e.g., Ps. 112). They remind us of wonderful promises, such as those found in Proverbs 3:9-10—and how Jesus reiterated these in the New Testament with teachings such as, “Give, and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38). And they quote Paul, who wrote about the financial principles of sowing and reaping (1 Cor. 9; 2 Cor. 8-9; Phil. 4:11-19).

Are you with me? I am not against you having money. But I am adamantly against money having you. The problem is, there’s more to the story that the carnal prosperity preachers fail to mention:
  • Jesus warned against storing up treasures on earth (Matt. 6:19-24) and covetousness (Luke 12:15).
  • Jesus emphasized caring for the poor (Matt. 25:31-46).
  • Paul and John both taught that we should not live according to this present age (1 Cor. 7:29-31; 1 John 2:15-17).
  • Jesus did not die to make us financially wealthy but to save us from our sins (Matt. 1:21).
  • God chose the poor to be rich in faith and kingdom heirs (James 2:5).
More importantly, the carnal prosperity preachers have ignored other biblical warnings, like Paul’s powerful words to Timothy: “Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness” (1 Tim. 6:9-11).

Carnal prosperity preachers encourage God’s people to seek after riches—or to seek after God for the purpose of riches—often even judging your spirituality by the kind of car you drive. What does that have to do with the gospel of Jesus?

2) Exaggerated View of Grace
This hyper-grace teaching has become an epidemic (see “What’s Wrong With Grace?” on p. 28). It has slipped in almost unnoticed and taken root like an unwanted weed—easy to get in but hard to get out of the Christian. I have personally dealt with many young people who were once on fire but fell under this “kicked-back” view of God. Now, instead of pursuing Him, they are partying. This “unmerited freedom,” if not tackled and taken out, will spread to future generations, leaving us with millions of lukewarm Christians who have traded their passion for poison.

Sadly, some hyper-grace preachers live in sin and ease their consciences by preaching about a God who is all love and who never condemns, a God who doesn’t judge us by our conduct. Like the false teachers Jude confronted, they “turn the grace of our God into lewdness” (Jude 4). The New International Version describes such lewdness as “a license for immorality.”

But not every hyper-grace preacher is looking for a way to justify sin. Some truly love Jesus but are simply preaching truth mixed with error. They’ve taken an undeniable, glorious truth about God and presented it in such an exaggerated form that they nullify all divine warnings and even claim that the words of Jesus don’t apply to New Covenant believers. If this seems judgmental, then it’s time to honestly line everyone’s teachings—including mine—alongside the Word. Don’t just go through the Word; let the Word go through you. Why are we so afraid in this godless generation to confront fallacies?

These hyper-grace teachers rightly emphasize that we are saved by grace and not by works (Eph. 2:8-9), that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Rom. 5:6-8), that we are no longer sinners but saints in God’s sight (1 Cor. 1:2), that God’s love for us is not based on our performance (Rom. 5:9-10), that having begun in the Spirit we can’t become perfect by human effort (Gal. 3:3), that we are now sons and daughters of God, joint heirs with Jesus (Rom. 8:15-17), and more!

But they ignore mountains of other scriptural truths and draw wrong theological conclusions. For example, they rightly teach that Jesus died for all our sins—past, present and future—but wrongly conclude that as believers we no longer have to deal with sin (meaning we never have to confess sin or repent of sin, and the Holy Spirit no longer convicts us of sin). Aren’t you tired of hearing of another backslidden brother? Trace his steps and you’ll often find he was given permission to slip away from the wonderful freedom of holiness into the bondage of humanism.

3) Antinomianism
Antinomianism—long word, simple meaning. The word literally means “against law.” It’s a short jump from an overemphasis on the grace message to complete antinomianism. In practice, it means that “anything goes,” since Jesus has set us free. The problem is, Jesus didn’t set us free to sin; He set us free from sin.

Jesus died for us and broke sin’s power on our lives so that now, by the Spirit, we can live out the righteous requirements of the law (Rom. 8:1-4). Yet purveyors of this poisonous teaching fail to realize that Jesus calls us beyond the requirements of the law in His teaching, stating, for example, that adultery refers to adultery of the heart and not just the physical act (Matt. 5:27-28).

God’s perfect, holy, glorious law is not the problem. Sinful flesh is the problem. Sin will take you farther than you ever wanted to go. Sin will cost you more than you ever wanted to pay. And sin will keep you longer than you ever intended to stay. Sin will promise you everything but leave you with nothing. Sin will love you for a season and curse you for eternity.

For all the antinomians out there who believe “anything goes,” the question is, where do you end up?

4) Deification of Man
Many false teachings today start with man rather than with God. In contrast, when Paul laid out the gospel message in Romans, he started with God and then went to man: God is holy and we are not; He is righteous and we are not; we are under His judgment and in need of mercy, and that mercy comes through the cross.
Today’s gospel, especially in America, has a very different ring to it; rather than being all about God, it’s all about me. Just as the American way is to make everything bigger and better, the American gospel says that Jesus came to make you into a bigger and better you. That is not the gospel!

Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matt. 16:24-25).

We are in grave danger worldwide as millions upon millions gaze upon man rather than God. Just take a look at our political system. Words like messiah, lord, savior and anointed one are tossed around like candy. I cringe at heaven’s response. This is a setup for the Antichrist; as we become so accustomed to worshipping man, it will be a simple maneuver for the Antichrist to move into position.

5) Challenging the Authority of the Word
The challenging of God’s authority goes back to the Garden of Eden, starting with the serpent’s challenge to Eve: “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Gen. 3:1). This satanic challenge was twofold: First, did God really say that? And second, God didn’t really mean what He said. After all, you won’t die if you eat from the tree (vv. 1-5).

That twofold challenge continues to assault us today. Best-selling authors tell us the biblical text isn’t reliable, that the biblical manuscripts we have in our possession are hopelessly contradictory, and that we can know little or nothing about the real, historical Jesus. Other authors tell us that the Bible is no more than a collection of religious traditions and that God Himself is nothing more than a religious myth.

For the most part, though, the challenge to the authority of the Scriptures is subtler, and some of it flows out of the deification of man, which says, “The Bible must live up to my standards. I will judge the God of the Bible based on my morality rather than the God of the Bible judging me based on His morality.” In short, when the Scriptures contradict our feelings and preferences rather than crucify our feelings and preferences and bow down before God and His Word, we question God’s Word.

6) Rejecting Hell
Nowhere is this questioning of God’s Word seen any more clearly than when it comes to the subject of hell and future punishment. And because we preach an imbalanced gospel—emphasizing God’s love and ignoring His wrath, emphasizing His mercy and ignoring His justice—we no longer have room for hell and future punishment in our theology.

Why did Jesus use such strong language in talking about the fire of hell and about people weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth (see Matt. 8:12)? And why did He teach that “it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell” (Matt. 5:29)? And why do other New Testament writers warn us repeatedly about the wrath to come (see Eph. 5:1-6)?

It’s one thing to debate the exact nature of the future punishment that awaits those who reject the gospel. It’s another thing to downplay or eliminate it. Whatever legitimate debate we may have on the precise nature of the coming judgment, this much is clear from the Word: it will be irreversible, dreadful and of eternal consequence.

Revelation 20:11-15 clearly warns about the coming Great White Throne Judgment. Yet modern-day heresy teachers have taken it upon themselves to erase the judgment. The result, if believed and followed, will be too devastating to mention.

7) Universal Reconciliation
Universal reconciliation promotes a get-out-of-jail-free mentality—that in the end, everyone will make it into heaven because of Jesus’ death on the cross. (In contrast, universalism teaches that all paths lead to God.) There may be future suffering, but it will be purging rather than punishment, and ultimately everyone will be saved.

Proponents of universal reconciliation point to verses that teach that God reconciled “all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Col. 1:20). And they point out that just as in Adam all die, in Jesus all will live (Rom. 5:12-21).

What would you say if someone attempted to persuade you that Adolf Hitler was in heaven? “Abomination!” you would scream. “You’re deranged!” Yet that’s a sample of the fundamental false teaching of this layer of “avalanche snow.” Added to other layers mentioned previously, we will find the believer’s foundation deteriorated, and when the storms come, the house will come crumbling to the ground.

During this season when we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, let’s determine to glorify Him by staying pure. A gentle breeze of false teaching has become a strong wind of serious error, some of it downright heretical, and a storm of doctrinal deviation has become a massive deadly whiteout. Amid this whiteout, stay committed to His teachings. Don’t permit any false teaching to subtly weave its way into your life, bringing down an avalanche that could destroy everything you hold so dearly. I won’t let it happen. Not in my lifetime and not in yours.

I urge you to open your heart and read Spiritual Avalanche. Revelation will be imparted from its pages. This 30-minute, full-color vision shook me to the core. I wept as I saw it and wept as I wrote the book. I love the church and will do everything possible to prepare her to meet the Groom. She isn’t ready, but she will be!

Yes, Jesus said in the last days even the elect could be deceived. But not you! You’re too smart for that!

Software is a program that enables a computer to perform a specific task, as opposed to the physical components of the system (hardware).

This includes application software such as a word processor, which enables a user to perform a task, and system software such as an operating system, which enables other software to run properly, by interfacing with hardware and with other software.

Practical computer systems divide software into three major classes: system software, programming software and application software, although the distinction is arbitrary, and often blurred.

Computer software has to be "loaded" into the computer's storage (such as a hard drive, memory, or RAM).

Once the software is loaded, the computer is able to execute the software.

Computers operate by executing the computer program.

This involves passing instructions from the application software, through the system software, to the hardware which ultimately receives the instruction as machine code.

Each instruction causes the computer to carry out an operation -- moving data, carrying out a computation, or altering the control flow of instructions.

Four temperaments is a proto-psychological theory that suggests that there are four fundamental personality types, sanguine (optimistic leader-like), choleric (bad-tempered or irritable), melancholic (analytical and quiet), and phlegmatic (relaxed and peaceful). Most formulations include the possibility of mixtures of the types.

The Greek physician Hippocrates (c. 460 – c. 370 BC) incorporated the four temperaments into his medical theories as part of the ancient medical concept of humorism, that four bodily fluids affect human personality traits and behaviors. Later discoveries in biochemistry have led modern medicine science to reject the theory of the four temperaments, although some personality type systems of varying scientific acceptance continue to use four or more categories of a similar nature.

A brief description is given under each of these basic temperaments. Perhaps, you could discover whom you are and 'why you act the way you do' in the words of Dr. Tim LaHaye:

Sanguine

The sanguine temperament is traditionally associated with air. People with this temperament tend to be lively, sociable, carefree, talkative, and pleasure-seeking. They may be warm-hearted and optimistic. They can make new friends easily, be imaginative and artistic, and often have many ideas. They can be flighty and changeable; thus sanguine personalities may struggle with following tasks all the way through and be chronically late or forgetful.

Pedagogically, they can be best reached through awakening their love for a subject and admiration of people.

Choleric

The choleric temperament is traditionally associated with fire. People with this temperament tend to be egocentric and extroverted. They may be excitable, impulsive, and restless, with reserves of aggression, energy, and/or passion, and try to instill that in others.

They tend to be task-oriented people and are focused on getting a job done efficiently; their motto is usually "do it now." They can be ambitious, strong-willed and like to be in charge. They can show leadership, are good at planning, and are often practical and solution-oriented. They appreciate receiving respect and esteem for their work.

Pedagogically, they can be best reached through mutual respect and appropriate challenges that recognize their capacities.

Melancholic

The melancholic temperament is traditionally associated with the element of earth. People with this temperament may appear serious, introverted, cautious or even suspicious. They can become preoccupied with the tragedy and cruelty in the world and are susceptible to depression and moodiness. They may be focused and conscientious. They often prefer to do things themselves, both to meet their own standards and because they are not inherently sociable.

Pedagogically, they can be best met by awakening their sympathy for others and the suffering of the world.

Phlegmatic

The phlegmatic temperament is traditionally associated with water. People with this temperament may be inward and private, thoughtful, reasonable, calm, patient, caring, and tolerant. They tend to have a rich inner life, seek a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, and be content with themselves. They tend to be steadfast, consistent in their habits, and thus steady and faithful friends.

Pedagogically, their interest is often awakened by experiencing others' interest in a subject.

People of this temperament may appear somewhat ponderous or clumsy. Their speech tends to be slow or appear hesitant.

Putting the smart in smartphone

Inside is a quad core high speed processor that makes this smartphone smarter and faster, so you can get more out of life.

You can be sure of capturing the perfect picture, even in a dark environment. Dual flash improves the camera's effect and performance, so you are able to record more perfect moments.

No matter how busy you are, you will always have battery power that lasts – thanks to the high-capacity 1730mAh battery and super power-saving mode for ultra-long endurance.

The HTC One M9 was one of the most eagerly anticipated flagship smartphones of 2015.  This was largely thanks to the success of the HTC One M8 in 2014, which blew everyone away with its stunning design, neat interface, and powerful internals. The One M8 did leave a few crinkles that needed ironing out, mainly in the form of an experimental 4 MP 'UltraPixel' camera, so there was some work for the M9 to do this year alongside the regular chipset upgrade expected from an annual flagship successor.

With an octa-core processor, much-improved 20.7 MP camera, and some nifty features that come with the latest Sense UI, the HTC One M9 has taken big steps in some areas, while in others - such as the display and design - remains unchanged. Read our HTC One M9 review to find out whether this is for better or worse.

HTC One M9 design and build quality

The HTC One M8 was a beautiful phone, raising the question of whether the HTC One M9 really needed to make many (or any) external changes to still be considered the most stylish, premium-looking device on the market. HTC clearly thought that it didn't, telling AndroidPIT back at MWC 2015 that it's "not gonna' try to fix something that's not broken." This is a reasonable approach - although it's equally reasonable that we found it hard to be impressed by a design that seemed so familiar.

The HTC One M9 is enclosed in a two-tone aluminum chassis, with the same curved back and rounded corners as its predecessor (it even fits into the M8's Dot View case!). The brushed metal back of the One M9 is certainly more grippy than the matte-backed One M8, which was a bit on the slippery side.
On the front, there is a matte aluminum finish above and below the display - the same texture as the entire chassis of the silver One M8. Above the screen is a 4MP UltraPixel camera, demoted from its prime position on the back of the HTC One M8.

On the back we have a 20MP camera with a large square sensor. The square camera lens protrudes slightly, but is bordered by a plastic frame which prevents the glass from directly touching surfaces. The lens glass is made from scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Despite all these precautions, there is something unwieldy about a phone that leans on its camera whenever it's on its back, and the protruding sensor is the one notable downside of an otherwise classy exterior.

This is a guest post by Kim Roach of BuzzBlogger.com. She provides us with some novel ideas for growing our blogs, some of which I’ll be trying out very soon. Enjoy!

So, without further ado, let’s dive in…

1. Convert Your Content into Ebooks

This one little strategy is bringing me thousands of extra visitors with very little extra work on my part.
You simply convert one of your articles (or a collection of related articles) into a PDF. You can do this for free at http://www.youconvertit.com or http://www.pdfonline.com/convert-pdf.
You then submit your newly created ebook to:
There are hundreds of ebook directories online, but these are the most popular one’s that will send you 99% of your traffic.

If you’re a blogger, you could easily be driving thousands of extra visitors to your website simply by converting your existing content into ebooks.

Important Note: You MUST make sure that you have links pointing back to your blog within the report. I also highly recommend that you include a promo at the end of your report that sends people to your squeeze page where you can grow your list of subscribers.

If you have paid ebooks, you can submit them to http://e-library.net/add.html.

You can also submit your ebook to a few document sharing sites like Scribd.com, DocStoc.com, eSnips.com, Calameo.com, Issuu.com, and Yudu.com.

There are so many ways that you can re-purpose your content for extra exposure. You could easily be getting 10x more traffic from every article you write simply by reformatting it into ebooks, videos, podcasts, forum posts, etc…

2. Build Your Tribe

Social media seems to be all the rage nowadays.

However, there are very few people really teaching how to take full advantage of this worldwide phenomenon.

But as a blogger you have a very unique opportunity to create exponential growth using the power of social media. But to do that, you must first build your tribe.

With a blog you’re able to create a small cult-like community of raving fans. However, very few people are building and fostering their tribe appropriately.

Because to build a real community, you’ve got to be in the trenches… replying to every comment, engaging in every Twitter conversation that touches your sphere of influence, reading and replying to ALL of your emails, offering special chat times, and most importantly – adding value at every point of contact.

Once you have a tribal community, you will have created an invaluable asset – an ARMY of people who will comment on your posts, Tweet your content, engage in conversation, and become your very best social evangelists.

Everyone on the Web has now become a content creator or buzz facilitator using tools like email, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Wikis, and instant messaging.

It is now easier than ever to create rapid growth in your company using the buzz factor of your existing audience.

Create remarkable content and then allow your readers to promote your content for you. Your readers are now the center of any successful marketing.

3. Content Integration

I’m sure you’ve heard about the power of article marketing and guest blogging, but you can take this a step further with the use of content integration marketing.

Content integration is basically where you integrate your content into other people’s traffic funnels. So this could be blogs, membership sites, products, emails, etc…

But the one’s I’d like us to look at further are products and membership sites.
Most of you are probably very familiar with creating content for other people’s websites, but we rarely think about creating exclusive content for other people’s products or membership sites.

These are HUGE, largely untapped traffic sources.

Membership site owners are constantly looking for great content that they can put inside their member’s area. In fact, that’s one of the hardest parts of owning a membership site (continuously updating it with new content).

But it represents a huge opportunity for you to come in and provide exclusive, high-quality content in return for massive exposure to a large group of buyers.

I’ve done this myself with other Internet Marketing membership sites and it has sent me thousands of extremely high-quality visitors and hundreds of subscribers.

You can also integrate your content with other people’s products. Simply find a popular product in your market and then create some extremely high-quality complementary content that they could offer as a bonus.
This is a win-win for both of you because they get to delight their customers with even more premium content and you get exposure to a large base of buyers.

By pairing your products and content with other products within your market you are going to create an instant, perpetual flow of traffic to your website.

4. Ad Swaps

One of the biggest mistakes bloggers make is not building a list of subscribers. Bloggers could dramatically increase their income if they focused on building their list of subscribers rather than their RSS readers.
(This is Pat stepping in really quick. I just have to reiterate what Kim just said, because the list is hugely important! For those of you who do not yet have your own lists setup, you can check out my Beginner’s Guide to Starting a List Here.)

So, why is a list of subscribers so powerful? Well, essentially it allows you to create traffic on demand. With a list, you can send thousands of visitors to the page of your choice with the push of a button.
So you instantly have a built-in community of readers that will read all of your future posts, comment, tweet, and drive sales 10x higher than you would be able to produce with your blog alone.

With a mailing list, you have now built extreme leverage into your business. It doesn’t matter how Google changes their algorithm, because you’ll always have a fan base that you can tap into at will.

Plus, once you’ve built an initial “seed” list of 500-1,000 subscribers, you can then start building your list exponentially using the power of ad swaps to add hundreds of new subscribers in a single day.

Essentially, an ad swap occurs when two list owners each agree to mail their list about the OTHER person’s free offer. This is usually a free offer placed on a squeeze page in exchange for someone’s name and email address. As a result, they both add hundreds of subscribers to their lists in a single day.
Some of the best places to look for ad swap partners include:

5. Bonus Strategy

Now, before I end this article (and the caffeine high wears off), I’d like to share my all-time secret traffic strategy.

You can generate all the traffic you could ever want by using this one little secret…
Are you ready?

Come a little close so I can whisper it in your ear…

*** At the end of the day, it’s really all about VALUE.

If you deliver truly remarkable content on an ongoing basis, then no one can hold you back. You’ll be surprised how quickly you start to build up a group of raving fans when you put out truly great content.
And when I say truly great content, I’m not talking about good content or even great content. I’m talking about producing remarkable content on an ongoing basis.

I need to crave your content more than I do my daily Starbucks.

It’s got to be that good.

Turn your marketing into an experience that your readers look forward to each and every day.
